Laboratory environments often include hazardous processes and materials, and the availability of handling information, such as MSDSs, to create the safest environment possible, is critical for labs to function efficiently. The Core system provides environmental monitoring functionality, and can aid in corrective and preventative measures by generating reports on who has used materials and instrumentation, whether they followed procedures or not, and when they did so.
Laboratories working with environmentally sensitive materials can rest assured that their specifications for testing and storage will be met with the Core LIMS. The system can be configured to integrate with thermometers and other environmental instrumentation to automatically generate alerts when user-defined thresholds are met.
The Core system can also be configured to monitor waste generation and create customized reports to allow for the identification of waste generating activities and where these wastes can be reduced. Waste disposal and emissions can be monitored as well, allowing laboratories to control their environmental impact accurately and efficiently.
