The Core LIMS aids laboratories in the assessment of current workloads by analyst and instrument. It allows users to re-assign priorities for assays as needed. Queuing can be organized by sample rather than workflow. The system lets end-users track sample and data flows throughout project life cycles, and aids in the meeting of QA/QC requirements with automated results flagging and alert generation.
Managers can use system or user-generated prioritization
queues to identify bottlenecks in project lifecycles and eliminate or improve
them to increase efficiency. The queuing and worklist functionality provided
by the Core LIMS aid in ERP by enhancing scheduling capabilities, and showing
when an event took place, who was involved, and how long it took. All information
is presented in a worklist format for easy viewing, analysis, and monitoring
of task completion.
