The Core LIMS allows laboratories to ensure that their processes and products meet regulatory, customer-specific, and their own standards. It checks data against pre-defined specifications or recipes, and automatically generates alerts to inform analysts if quality criteria are not being met. The system decreases the risk associated with laboratory processes by allowing managers the ability to track what processes are going on, and whether or not standards are being met, in a real-time environment.
By allowing for automation of processes as well as specifications management, the Core LIMS allows companies to provide high quality products and services to customers with a lower cost. The Core system can receive batch or product specifications from the labs other systems, schedule testing by instrument and analyst, track the generation of results, and accept or reject a batch. The batch can be checked against multivariate data specifications to ensure its quality. The Core system ensures that SOPs and protocols are followed during all steps of testing, and provides users with access to this data.
